POOL SAFETY CHECKLIST
Employing as many water and pool safety practices as possible is a must to have a safe and fun pool-time experience. Wolfes Pool Supply formerly located in Narberth, Pennsylvania, encourages you to use our safety checklist to keep you and your family safe every time you're at the pool.

Tips to Get Ready

Chlorine and PH Tests, are the most important tests to run on your pool water! Chlorine is the most common sanitizer, which controls bacteria, algae, and organic wastes; pH is a major factor in controlling water balance. In short, it measures the acid or alkaline levels of the water and prevents it from being scaling or corrosive. Schedule other important tests to keep your pool and your equipment maintained.

Other Tests:

  • Buffering Capacity – Measuring the Total Alkalinity
  • Water Hardness – Measuring Calcium Hardness
  • Cyanuric Acid – Measuring the Chlorine Stabilizer
  • TDS – Measuring Total Dissolved Solids

Tips to Get Set

Store all brushes, poles, hoses, and other equipment out of direct sunlight, as UV-light rays break down plastics over time. Clean the skimmer and filter baskets on a regular basis for a better flow of water through the filter.

Let us inspect your filter and cleaning equipment to ensure it's in proper working condition. Equipment repairs and replacements are also available if needed.

Tips for Safety

Do not allow children in the pool unless supervised by an adult. Always keep a "shepherd's crook"(a staff with a hook at one end), and life ring in the pool area. Always keep a first-aid kit handy.

Keep chemicals out of reach of children and never mix them. Be sure to read the label before you use any chemical.
